Michael-WeintraubMichael Weintraub
President & CEO, Co-Founder

Michael is a co-founder of Humedica and serves as President and CEO. Prior to launching Humedica, Michael served as Senior Managing Director at Leerink Swann, a leading health care investment bank. Previously, he was President and CEO of PHARMetrics, a health care informatics company, which was successfully sold to IMS Health in 2005. Michael has more than 30 years of experience in health care technology, information services, and consulting. Michael serves as Chairman of the Board of Phreesia, a software company that develops automated patient check-in tools, and sits on the board of Anceta, the medical informatics subsidiary of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA). Michael is a member of the Board of Directors of JDRF New England Chapter – Bay State Branch. In 2010, Michael was selected to participate in 12×12, a Massachusetts initiative to multiply entrepreneurship by engaging the creativity and experience of 12 of the state’s leading CEO’s and 12 venture capitalists. Michael received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brandeis University.

Allen-KamerAllen Kamer
Vice President, Corporate Development & Marketing, Co-Founder
Allen is one of Humedica’s co-founders and presently serves as Vice President of Corporate Development and Marketing and is responsible for the company’s partnerships, marketing, and new business opportunities. Previously, he was a Director at Leerink Swann, a leading health care investment bank, where he helped develop the business plan and raise capital to launch Humedica. With nearly 20 years of health care experience, Allen held management positions at Biogen and Biogen Idec, including Director of Decision Support. In that role, he managed a team responsible for the company’s forecasting, market research, managed care analyses, sales force design and compensation plans for the Neurology and Dermatology business units. Prior to joining Biogen, Allen co-founded MORPACE Pharma Group, a forecasting and consulting firm for the pharmaceutical industry. There he led the company’s integration of secondary data sources, demand forecasting, and the development of a global physician panel. Allen began his career as a reporter for The Pink Sheet, covering pharmaceutical industry issues at the FDA and Capitol Hill, and also previously worked at Decision Resources managing multiple publications. He received his bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.

A.G. BreitensteinA.G. Breitenstein, JD, MPH
Vice President & General Manager, Provider Markets, Co-Founder
A.G. is a co-founder of Humedica and serves as Vice President and General Manager, Provider Markets. Prior to Humedica, she was a Director at Leerink Swann, a leading health care investment bank. Previously, A.G. co-founded the Institute for Health Metrics (IHM). In 2000, she co-founded PrivaSource, which focused on the de-identification of health data. A.G. also served as Chair of the Massachusetts Work Group on the Privacy of Medical Records and was the primary drafter of the Massachusetts “Act to Protect the Privacy of Medical Records.” A.G. teaches ethics with Professor Marc Roberts at the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her MPH from Harvard University, her JD from the University of Connecticut, and her bachelor’s degree from Yale University.

Steve DavisSteve Davis
Vice President & General Manager, Life Sciences
Steve brings deep experience in health care informatics to his role as Vice President and General Manager, Life Sciences. Previously, he was the vice president of product management and business development at Marketing Technology Solutions (MTS), a data informatics company managing multiple information-driven consumer health care solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to MTS, Steve was with Versipan, L.L.C. for seven years, most recently as the Vice President of Longitudinal Patient Data Solutions. Steve began his career at Matthew Thornton Health Plan, a division of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.

Rick DeanRick Dean
Vice President of Provider Solutions
Rick has overall responsibility for sales and account management in the provider market as Humedica’s Vice President of Provider Solutions. Rick joins Humedica from Microsoft, where he served as Director of North American Sales for Microsoft’s Health Solutions Group. Prior to Microsoft, Rick was Vice President, North American Sales for Sentillion where he was responsible for the company’s sales and revenue attainment and was part of the senior management team. Rick led Sentillion to record sales and revenue, including 12 consecutive quarters of growth, which resulted in Microsoft acquiring the company in early 2010. Previously, he held senior level sales positions of increasing responsibility, including positions at Citrix Systems, HiddenMind Technology, and Healtheon/WebMD. Rick received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina

Stan HuangStan Huang
Vice President of Engineering
Stan serves as Humedica’s Vice President of Engineering. Prior to Humedica, he was a member of the founding management team at NaviNet, a health care information technology company. At NaviNet, Stan served as Vice President of Engineering and was responsible for building the engineering team and leading the development and delivery of the company’s flagship SaaS product. Stan has more than 25 years of experience in commercial software development, including positions at Lotus Development Corporation and Oracle Corporation. He received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.

Mary LantinMary Lantin
Vice President, Client Services, Provider Markets
Mary serves as Vice President of Client Services for the Provider Markets at Humedica and is responsible for the overall Humedica client experience, ensuring that all clients realize and receive expected value from the company’s solutions. In this role, Mary directs client account planning and account management processes while establishing and building key references. Prior to Humedica, Mary held senior Client Services roles at various informatics and analytics solution companies where she drove and executed strategies for rapid deployment of enterprise-wide health solutions for providers. With nearly 20 years of health care experience, Mary also worked in management consulting with a focus on strategic planning and health care technology for providers. She received her master’s in Public Health from Harvard University and her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.

Stan NortonStan Norton
Vice President & Chief Technology Officer
Stan is Humedica’s Chief Technology Officer. Stan has been designing and implementing large-scale health care technology solutions for the past 25 years. Most recently, Stan was the founding CTO of PHARMetrics, where he built a longitudinal database of 60 million Americans’ health care experiences. Following PHARMetrics’ acquisition by IMS Health in 2005, Stan’s role expanded to include the management of Electronic Health Record (EHR) efforts in Europe and Asia. Prior to PHARMetrics, Stan founded North Sea Consulting, which developed software for clients in the pharmaceutical and clinical analytic domains. He began his health care informatics career at the Baxter/Health Data Institute. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Massachussetts.

Bill RomeoBill Romeo
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Bill is responsible for Humedica’s finance, legal, operations, investor relations, and human resources functions. Bill has more than 15 years of leadership experience in high growth technology and life sciences ventures, where he has directed strategic planning, funding, and M&A activities. Prior to joining Humedica, Bill was CFO at NaviNet, Inc., a health care technology company that grew to become the largest provider of real-time administrative, clinical, and financial capabilities. Prior to NaviNet, Bill held CFO positions at various public and private life sciences companies, namely Reprogenesis and Alpha-Beta Technology. Bill is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a MBA from the University of Massachusetts.

Diane ThroopDiane M. Throop
Vice President, Analytics
Diane is Humedica’s Vice President of Analytics. Diane has worked in health care analytics for more than 20 years, most recently as Vice President of R&D at PHARMetrics where she directed the research and development of analytic algorithms, methods, and models specifically designed for the pharmaceutical and managed care industries. Following PHARMetrics’ acquisition by IMS in 2005, she oversaw statistical services for Anonymized Patient Longitudinal Data, directing a team of over 50 statisticians and programmers. Prior to Pharmetrics, Diane was a consultant at Bain & Company. She began her career at MediQual Systems, which developed clinical quality improvement and severity of illness applications for hospitals. She received her MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, her master’s degree in Statistics from Colorado State, and her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from MIT.

Patrick TynePatrick Tyne
Vice President, Product Management
Patrick is Humedica’s Vice President of Product Management. He has more than 25 years of experience launching enterprise-class commercial software applications within emerging markets. He has an extensive background in bringing to market and plotting the direction of high-growth relational database, data warehousing, security and data, application integration products.   Patrick’s prior experience includes executive and senior-level leadership positions within industry leading technology companies such as Oracle, Sybase and RSA Security (acquired by EMC). In addition, he has held a number of senior executive and operating level positions within high growth, venture-backed companies such as Dataupia, MetaMatrix (acquired by Red Hat) Blue Agave Software (acquired by i2), OnExchange (acquired by The Chicago Board of Trade), and OnDisplay (acquired by Vignette/OpenText).
